H-2B employer costs: build a complete seasonal budget

The consulting fee is one part of an H-2B budget. Separate it from wages, government charges, travel, and the obligations that continue during the season.

Price the job, not just the worker count

Start with the duties, work locations, required wage, hours, and season length. City wage tables on this site are planning references. The issued wage determination and applicable job and minimum-wage requirements control the final wage obligation.

Keep outside costs visible

Confirm current government fees and any optional processing charges from official instructions. Review transportation, subsistence, visa-cost, hours-guarantee, and reimbursement rules with the case team. Housing arrangements or deductions, if proposed, need their own review; do not assume they are free of cost or restrictions.

Confirm scope and payment milestones

Use our pricing estimator for the consulting fee, then review the written engagement and exclusions. Ask which costs remain payable if visas are not granted and when each invoice is due. Legal services, if needed, have a separate engagement and budget.
